I like the look of the Mustang, has anyone played through the Fender P90s? I wish they'd do a musicmaster in that series.

Drop a JM 'lead' circuit into a Mustang and do sommat about the trem, and it'll be the last offset I'll ever want. That said, I'd like to hear how the P90s sound...and even if they suck, we're not short of options for replacements these days.

I think the Dimension Bass is genuinely "new":

So the Jazzmaster is a Blacktop JM gone double humbucker (basically JAZZBLASTER now) and the mustang has P-90s.
I kinda dig that Jazzmaster though.

According to a thread over on Offset, they're discontinuing a number of models too:
Offsetguitars wrote: Fender will remove MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) enforcement on certain guitar models starting July 1st. That pretty much means they're doomed and remaining stock will be blown out by retailers. Some of this is explained by the earlier post regarding the new Modern Player Jazzmaster and Mustang.
Fender:
Pawn Shop Mustang Special
Modern Player Jaguar
Modern Player Marauder
Blacktop Jazzmaster HS
Squier:
Vintage Modified Jaguar HH
Vintage Modified Jazzmaster Special

If that Mustang had a JM/Jag trem I'd have had to find a way of buying a few.
