What's the tuner function like on these?
Is it alright?
If I intend to buy a M5, could I get by fine long-term without buying a separate tuner pedal?

Plagued by the crummy display.
They have all these cool coloured backgrounds they
coulda used (as flat/sharp/dead-on indicators), but decide to display the tuner in a half-ass needle format, barely readable onstage.

doesn't it have background light on the m13? on the m5 I'm almost sure it has. I never had trouble reading it on stage, but I normally just tune before a concert or if the guitar goes crazy in mid show

I think maybe it has a plain backlight, but it's still way tricker to read than any dedicated pedal tuner.
Especially with my old eyes.

Yeah, it's fine for that really; the accuracy is pretty reasonable.
