Hey lads,
Mike built this for me a few months back and I was real fucking lazy on getting a video out there, but here it is.

The circuit is an ever so slightly modified King of Tone without all the switches and just hardwired to the modes that I was going to leave it on anyway.
Cool, thanks guys,

The pedal sounds fantastic. Nice playing as well.

Earthy tone

I like the tone. So what axe(s) are you playing, and through what amp?...so we can tell better how much of what we hear is the guitar, how much is the amp, and how much is the box.

Cheers,

~3:30 in the video.

I played it when you posted, Free. And now looking for 3:30, it says you removed it...?

Hey guys,

Realized I fucked up the editing of one of the segments of text, so, here's a re post with it fixed.

Just learnin amps; peripherals-ignorant

Okay, got it! The various gain tones do sound great, especially the Woman Tone at around 4:37. I'm relatively new to electric guitar and fairly ignorant yet about peripherals. I want to learn and hope my questions don't sound critical.

So, knowing a bit about your Vox, another question comes to mind. Does the TB18C1 model not provide those tones without a box? My recollection is it would at least come very close to what we're hearing here.

Cheers,

I can type in a bit more detail here.
The guitars I'm using are a partscaster with creamery pickups (71' wide range clone and a Nocaster bridge) and the guitar I built a little while back with a gretsch filtertron neck and Bareknuckle Stormy Monday bridge.

The amp was a Vox TB18C1, 6V6 loaded, sounds a bit like a Princeton meets an AC15 in the way I have it set up.
The amp I got for around $700 from Andertons on a sale and the Pedal was just over $200 from Mike.

If you need anymore, just ask.

The gain on the Vox is very nice, if I had to be honest, I have both that and an AC30 and I prefer the gain on the TB18. The way I have the TB18 setup (it's my smaller gigs/rehearsal amp) is that I have it on the very segment before breakup and the box just pushes it that little harder on the blue channel and slams it on the red channel. The output on the box is boosted to the point where it makes the amp overdrive so it combines with the gain from the pedal resulting in that beautiful woman-esque, Clapton-y British tone.

It's not a question of not being able to get those tones without the box, it's a question of how I have it set up and how I like my single channel amps. Plus, I fucking love dual drive boxes that can stack.

Thanks, Free. That's all helpful info. You've really defined what you want and how to get it. Enjoy!
