I've got a switch that looks like this. Right now I have to press the switch twice to get the amp channel on and off.

I want it to work like a simple on-off switch. Is there an easy way to do this?

Its wired like this.

- o
- o
- -

O = wire connection

Sounds like you need a non-latching switch rather than what I assume is a latching one. There may be a work around it but it's probably going to be easier just to wire up a non-latching one.

But wouldn't I want it to latch into position? I don't know much about this mind you, but wouldn't a non-latching one need to remain pressed to be in the on position?

Looked it up. Apparently I do need a momentary switch....

Bought a cheap spst switch at RadioShack. Did the job. Suppose I'll order a heavy duty one if this switch (plastic tip) breaks
