Are the Adjust-o-matic bridges on...
...the blacktop jaguars 9.5 radius?

Some say yes, I say no. At least i can say the AOM on the Classic Player Jags was exactly the same radius as a standard radius TonePros bridge I had.
I don't believe ANY AOMs are 9.5 on fender gear. That would involve common design sense on Fender's behalf. Despite this though you can easily file the grooves lower on the outer strings.

Well, it's the guitar center limited edition seafoam green with binding jaguar to be exact. Which is just a special blacktop jaguar. The bridge that's on this seems great. The action is good. The necks a 9.5 radius. That's why I was wondering if it is a 9.5 radius bridge. I'm going to use the neck off of it for another build and I'm trying to figure out if I should just use this bridge or find a bridge to fit that radius perfect (which is looking to be impossible unless you modify a bridge)
Or buy a warmoth modified bridge (that I haven't heard much good about)
Or a mastery (which I'm not gonna spend almost $200 on..)

i've done it in the past..
intonated just fine, but i'm not really a "everything has to be just so" kinda guitar tech or player..
i like stuff that works, and stuff that i can beat up a bit.. so. its mostly trial and error..
if you have one to test do so, but don't pick one up just because i've suggested it![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

I know these are listed as 7.25" radius but Im sure they're flatter. I hated mine and ended up selling it (I only like 7.25"). Also worth noting that on the spec list for it on fender Japan it's listed as having a 9.5" raduis. Since they make it there it's probably right.Jim_Nowhere wrote:the black hh special necks are 7.25
it's why i lust after them..
EDIT a dude on F-offset measured his and it is def 9.5".
J site Jaguar Special specs
Neck radius is listed as 250R. If you check the specs of the 66 Jaguar that def has7.25"raduis it is listed as 184R.
