To Trade or Not To Trade

Post by metalhead384 »

So I have the potential to trade my Orange Tiny Terror with a 1x12 Blackheart cab to a guy who has a Vox AC15C1, which after watching a review I have found has INCREDIBLE tone options. My other option is to sell the amp to my friend and then buy a Peavey 2x12 Classic 50. I want to sell the Orange Tiny Terror cus I feel really limited with the amp, it only has 3 knobs, no reverb, and I dont get a whole lotta volume from the thing, and I'd kinda like to upgrade amps. So what I'm asking you the people of Shortscale.org is which should I do, sell the amp and buy the peavey, trade for the AC15C1, or just keep it. What I want out of the amp is volume without sacrificing good tone, but I also want an amp that can get great tone, especially for progressive rock style stuff like yes, king crimson, and rush, and like at the same time would sound bad playing riff heavy stuff like queens of the stone age and black sabbath when i run pedals

Peavey classic 50 will be most versatile and have the most headroom. Heard bad things about vox reliability.
