cheap alternatives to 70s Fender F tuners?

Post by George »

do these exist? i don't relish the idea of spending £50 on a set cos they're made by fender. gfs don't seem to have anything either.

The reissue F-tuners on my MIM Classic 70s Strat neck won't take anything larger than a .048 so I've had to go at the low E one with pliers to use my D'Addario 10-52s or Dean Markley 11 sets.
Klusons for lyphe.

I replaced the tuners on my j.s. with re-issue f-tuners, I had to drill out the tuner to accept the string gauges I use. but I got the set for like 26 bucks shipped, I don't remember where tho.... it was the same fellow that had lefty f-tuners for 27 bucks. anywho, not bad tuners, but they def need to be drilled out.
