Nope... but so glad they did this. I noticed them going missing from the shops then realised Fender had bought them over and discontinued most of their range... Would love a Starfire II. Really like the Florentine cutaway. Not too badly priced either if they're up to scratch

I used to own a 1973 S-100. Trading it is one of my biggest gear regrets. Fantastic guitars, and a good value at $700-1000.
Never tried a reissue, but with the vintage ones so attainable I can't see them being a better option.

Yeah, a couple of months ago I saw a nice vintage one online for $499. It was at a Guitar Center store in Manhattan. It was too late to call when I saw it but I called first thing the next morning and someone else had just bought it.Dang!

I have a reissue S-100 on order, but still no sign yet. Andertons in the UK is taking an age to get them, but I see Coda have them in stock.
I have a 70's S-100, and a 70's S-90. Both are AMAZING. I've got a bit of a thing for the old Guilds.
Also have a 70's S-70 and a '65 S-100 Polara. So long as I have the cash, and the price is right, I'll pretty much pick up any decent old Guilds I can. The quality, sound and playability of the guitars are amazing.
► Show Spoiler
Here's the S-70, S-90 and S-100 from the 70's. (And a bonus Marauder)
And here's the 65 S-100 Polara....

Gibson SGs look like the're designed by idiot kids for teenage dorks who get hardons over pictures of girl elves with axes and think they look dangerous cause they wear black... that said I like the brown ones

That's why its a strong design, you love it or hate it. The Guild is an SG that's easier to love.
But I do like how the body is more substantial.
I really love the bizarro shape of the S300's. Reissue those!

It's Carrie Brownstein from Sleater Kinney. Most of jbuonacc's 52 posts here have been a bit trollish and prickly. Maybe he read that's what this place is like.

In his defense, he got into the classifieds 2 posts ago... from here on out it's always rough seas for the dis-ingenues.
