George Dennis Tremolo Volume

Is it anyone able to modify a pedal for me or give me some advice? I've got a George Dennis volume tremolo. I bought based on liking my mates one, but mine is a later model and I have a few issues with it. It has a control for the minimum volume, but if you reduce the min vol it also reduces the over all volume to the point that you basically have to turn you amp up full to get a full zero to maximum sweep. If I do this and switch it to tremolo the way louder, and if the min vol is set high so as not to interfere with the general volume settings the tremolo is quieter. Seems I can't find a setting where there is no interference with the main volume and still be able to use both funtions.

I Like the notion of the thing but don't get much use out of it as it's too annoying to use much. I usually just set it up so I can switch to tremolo and have the volume set so as it's upper volume is the same when switched. I can't find much about them. Anyone have experience with them?

Is it maybe faulty? If you got it new perhaps you could contact the manufacturer and check if this is correct functioning or if they might fix it?

Otherwise I wonder if it's worth just flipping this one and keep the money on hold for when you find an older version for sale?

Bought it second hand ages ago. I'll try contacting the manufacturer anyway, see what they say?

i've owned one of these in the past.. not sure which version, but i THINK there's some trim pots inside. it could be depth or symmetry, but you can usually find a volume/gain trim pot in most mods/trems so could be worth a look.

I'm entirely clueless about electronics but I'll have a look. Cheers

Had a look and there is one trim on the upper face, but it affects everything, so I can get a stronger tremolo but it boost the upper levels on volume and still to quite when on zero min volume. I'll maybe have a look on the other side when I can be bothered taking it apart again.... Didn't realise there is so little in there. Barely fuck all
