Warmth modeled their Mustang body after my 66 that I sent them. They changed the shape slightly. So a fender guard wont line up exactly. They gave me a blue competition mustang body because I let them use my mustang. Quality as good if not better then Japan. Ken Warmoth and the guys there are great.

Warmoth bodies are great. I built a Fiesta Red KC Mustang out of one before the actual Fender line came out. It's one of my favorite guitars.

Usually Mustangs are built for a 24" neck - you need a Mustang / Jaguar / Musicmaster / Duo Sonic neck to fit (that's why this place is called Short-scale).

Usually they are a Strat type pickup with the polepieces flat to the top of the bobbin so they can fit under the plastic cover.
All kinds of crazy things show up on the banner at the top of the page, in a day or so the military police will be gone!

You would have to fit the bridge further back from the neck pocket. A 25.5" scale neck is longer but also requires greater distance from neck pocket to bridge. Wouldn't be a long way further back, under an inch I think, but it might look odd.

If you wanted to put a strat neck on you would need to move the bridge back also other wise you will run into problems such as the intonation, and you might need to modify the heel on the neck or the neck pocket to make it fit properly.

Hmmm - I'll try to be clearer.

For a 25.5 Strat neck, bridge saddles must be 181mm from neck heel.
For a 24" Mustang neck, bridge saddles must be 162mm from neck heel.

So if you fit a 25.5 neck to a Mustang body, the bridge must move 19mm further from the neck heel. Otherwise guitar will not intonate and will not play in tune.

Thanks a lot! I got it! I always get confused of the length of string's problem...

I actually have both. I built them both before the KC model came out. ;)
