Shipping a guitar from UK to NZ

Post by Bacchus »

My brother is on about having his dano hodad shipped out to him in NZ. I don' think it makes sense because I suspect that for roughly the same money he could take advantage of what's a cracking excuse to get a cv Tele, which'd doubtless be a much better guitar.

Has anyone ever shipped a guitar this far before? I know Mike shipped a Marshall JVM head to Australia, but I don't know how representative that would be of the price of shipping a guitar to NZ.

Tell him it's broke and you hate him and keep it forever.

I wouldn't bother. Danelectros are kind of fragile too.

Much better would be if someone were to fly there, take a hard suitcase, take off the neck and pack it well with clothes. Lots of clothes.

But in this case better buy a guitar there.
