ITT: Fender is kicking ass

Sounds better than the Thinline Jaguar I tried out at GC. That neck looks nice especially with large headstock. I was hoping it would not have the Strat Jack.

Andy needs to demo the Starcaster and Coronado II next.

Nice, they also have proper tuners. Come to think of it, I can't think of a Japanese Fender that uses those shitty modern style ones? Or am I being wistful?

blocks and binding should be more of an option for sure, not too keen on the thought of a bound body. contours are what make strats so good

That'd be some fancy thin line with contours. There are plenty of b&b Japanese Strats, only problem is getting hold of one outside of there.

That's actually based on a 1960s prototype, except the original had no f-holes and regular pickups.

Oooh, have you any more info/pics?

yeah but logically it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that somebody was gonna make a bound stratocaster so i think "based on" might be giving it more credence than it's worth

It's gorgeous... but seems a little middy for my tastes. Could just be the settings chosen.
