What pedal and amp are you using? loving the dirtier sounds

The amp stuff is all Garageband, the AC30, Fender and Marshall amp models.

Most of the dirt is the Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret MKIII except the Dino Jnr stuff which is all Garage Band (overdrive -> Marshall stack)

That's a lovely guitar indeed...it's so clean it's hard to believe it's an original rather than a reissue.

What do you think of JMs now you've tried this one? I recall a while back that you admitted to preferring Jags, so I was wondering if this has changed your mind at all.

What a gem!

And nice work going through the paces, Mike. Not a single bad tone going on there.

I still prefer the shortscale of Jags and the appearance with the control plates and all, but playing guitars like Chris' and Doog's makes me realise my old CIJ was not a great example to judge them by

Christ, I composed this post days ago but was distracted by blasting The Bends in its entirety after this demo (thanks, jerk) and forgot to finish it off.

Fantastic demo though, Mike. It's weird seeing you play a JM, but lorez's is definitely a rad specimen. Its condition seriously defies logic, as the lacquer on the body and headstock still looks, well, shiny instead of the usual hazed glow typical on guitars of that age. I remember seeing his NGD post and being blown away by the condition. I had completely forgotten about that guitar until I saw I had actually posted in that thread when I went searching for it. It was also great to see my plan mentioned there about wanting to refinish a CP JM that I had received only one day prior took me over a damned calendar year to complete.

Anyway, great to see this guitar in action. Unless I'm horrible at following along, I'd not seen or heard much about it beyond a few posts after its purchase and arrival. How'd it end up in your hands for this demo, Mike?

You're a lucky man, lorez -- great, great guitar.

Thanks for the comments on the guitar. It's not 100%clean, some bits where there is wear & tear but it is sweet.

AVJ, mike did me a favour of looking after my guitars for a few weeks & took advantage to do some demos.
