Pot values with pickups

So, I've ordered some new single coils for my incoming Jaguarillo. I'm going to replace the strat single coils with AVRI Jag pickups, and leaving the stock Atomic humbucker, but splitting it as well.

My question - with that combination of pickups, which pot values should I stick to - 1M? 500k?

When you remove the Jaguarillo single coils can you see if they have strat-style shaped base on them, or like a regular jag pickup base. I'm assuming they are just strat pickups but be interesting to know. A photo would be even better :) Might even be interested in buying the neck p/up off you...

Wont the jag pickups potentially be too long for the route as well ?

a hot humbucker and SCs i'd say most def 500k

you can always roll the tone off bright pickups, but muddy pickups suck with 250k

the classic jag pot would be 1meg but thats too shrill imo

I've checked - it's a swimming pool route, with MIM Standard strat pickups. I'm basing the feasibility of this based on this: www.marksguitars.com/Cool Mods.htm

1Meg might not be bad depending on the bucker. I love the JB Jr through 1megs in my jag.
I'd try 500ks as a rule of thumb. 250ks WILL sound shit with the bucker, stock Jag-Stang style.
