just went on a quick shop-run. in the cashconverters next to where i was goin, there was a jaguar in the window. the card said it was US. im not sure if it was or wasnt, but it still looks like a steal. it was some kind of off-white, with a tort 'plate, had a mute on it too, looked all-original. non-matching h'stock. came with case (think it had a bluey/grey fur-linng.
anyway... it was £800 !!!
i cant lay out cash for anyone to get it, but if anyone fancies a look, its in cashconverters on spring bank, hull.

someone here should buy it.

Reading that post I was priming my fingers to type 'buy it for me and I'll send you the money plus a little extra'. Unfortunately they have it priced about right, and even then on the high end of that.

whats the skinny on these? are they good?
i know you were looking at guyatones specifically for a while, but not sure if these share the same quality as a proper guyatone (if theres a difference)
i love the look though

I've not played one but I think they're supposed to be similar to the Guyatone model that Dave and I each have. I only have an idea on the price from searching for the other type. I'd love to try one of the big pickup models out, though.

As an official stickler for details, I can honestly say I'd expect HUNDREDS to be discounted simply because of the shockingly bad placement of that headstock decal. Yikes. When the type is clearly contoured around the shape of the wood, the placement should reflect that. Come on, Fender.
(Beautiful Jag otherwise)

It's just an American Vintage Reissue as far as I can see... so about the right price secondhand, but still quite a good deal I reckon.
Looks clean !!

The logo's over the lacquer on these, right? You could probably float it off and slip it into the right spot.

Glad I don't live anywhere near that, as I'd be sweating about now. If it had been a jazzy, I'd probably be making phonecalls and filling up the car!
Looks really nice, and if it is £599, someone should buy it ASAP.

Couldn't find it on the website to confirm the price, though they did have one of the headless bass Burns Flyte copies like I posted in the bizarre guitars thread.

So… This had piqued my interest so I phoned them up. It
had been momentarily reduced to £699, but has since gone back up to £799. Chap I spoke to knew guitars and was canny to the value and condition. He did, however, say he'd entertain offers. I said that it was the £599 that had me interested, but he said he wouldn't be able to accept that little.
So there you go Shortscale.

you offer a squier venus as trade for something worth considerably more. it's a low exposure meme between me and I think two other posters.
