Thinking of building a Tele Bass VI

So, this is what I'm thinking.

I've got an offer on the Prinz, part trade/part cash. The trade part is for a loaded Tele VM body - the one with the Jazzy neck pickup.

I'm thinking of buying a DC Kunkle bass VI conversion neck, slapping it onto the Tele body, add a 4-way switch, string it up/set it up, and call it a day.

Do it? or hell no?

Yep but do that with the Prinzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I honestly toyed with the idea of getting the prinz and slapping my baritone neck on there with a GFS bigsby set up

Link to the thread where I built one. I'd always make a baritone over a VI, though; means you can play chords.

There was a "Subsonic" Baritone Tele, Jimmy Page has a custom shop one done up with a Jag trem (at least that's what I think it is) which always had me envisioning a Bass VI Tele.

So, the deal fell through... I stil got da Prinz.

Now to order me a conversion neck and some strings.

Gonna crowdsource the project -

Bass VI or Bari - GO!

Bari - infinitely more fun than a VI.

Have had several guitars that you could tune both ways, and far preferred B-B to low E-E.

Yarp - even Low A on a bari sounds good. I had a go at the interpretation below (A-A non conversion neck Jag bari with questionable intonation) using the ex-benecol Tele-Bari. Really good.
