My humbucker build is finished. The guitar has 2 Suhr Doug Aldrich humbuckers in it along with a coil tap.

Thanks. The bridge is high output at 17.5k. As soon as I record with it I'll post it.

I like it. Looks less squeezed together than those Pawnshop Mustangs, maybe due to the lack of tremolo unit.

Nice that looks classy! Reminds me of my mustang I use to have. Gotta love how lightweight those cv duos are.

but the Pawn Shop mustang doesn't have a trem unit, its just a smaller body, for some stupid reason..

it should be called a pawn shop Duo Sonic II ... what with the lack of trem, and the switches..

but anyways..

Love the mod to the Duo Sonic, even dig the pearl on gold.. and that is A LOT of pearl.

Good point, it has a Strat hardtail doesn't it?

It does. And I love mine; it's a really nice guitar.

*Flounces off to post in the "guitars you own and love, but everyone else hates..." thread*

You're right though, they shouldn't have called it a Mustang. In the service notes it's called the Fender Fastback. Must have changed it to a Mustang as it is a well known name.

Looks cool! The pearl works really well on it..classy!!...my cv duo is my main gig guitar as its so light..I've got hot rail single coils in it, and they sound the mutts!!

Time to do more work on my Duo-Sonic.
1.) Radius will be changed to a much flatter 16 inch.
2.) Frets will be replaced with real Jumbos 110 width by 57 height.
3.) I will remove the polyurethane from neck and give it a hand rubbed oil finish.
