I had one on my SG for a while. Wobbled like it should, I ditched it due to the screw holding the arm in place kept working loose and the arm started drooping. Nothing worse than a floppy arm.

Is that a similar experience with real Bigsby's, do you know?

I bought one, I haven't fitted it yet and have no experience of real Bigsbys for comparison.
It doesn't seem to be bad quality, but I have heard that the little string retaining tab things can snap off from the bar.
Though my advice is search eBay for one with your settings as 'worldwide', I got mine for about £20 by getting it direct from China.
So less of a hardship if it does turn out to be a piece of shit.

I had a 'proper' one on a Gretsch that didn't wobble loose. My import one did wobble but I never pursued how to keep it tight.
