I really like the look of the Telecoustic Plus, but I bet it plays and sounds like shit, haha.

£100 and I might be tempted, but that won't be the case.

I have one of the Telecoustics..... and rather enjoy it very much. You can get some great sounds out of them plugged in, but unplugged is is basicaly practice mode. I have never had mine set up, so when I do play it......... it makes a well set up Strat or Tele awfully easy to play afterwords.

Which is why so much diversity in a 2014 reissue line-up of the things is even more laughable.

Fender's Telecoustic Premier has the classic Telecaster® body shape, headstock design and comfortable "C"-shaped neck profile perfect for electric players looking for a versatile acoustic instrument. It features a beautiful flame maple top with a Three-color Sunburst finish, and in addition to the Fishman® Isys™ III pickup/preamp system with built-in tuner, an onboard mini-USB output lets you plug straight into your smart phone, tablet or computer for easy recording.
FUCK YOU NERDS THAT SHIT IS AWESOME
IT'S 2008 EVERYTHING SHOULD WORK WITH USB

I have an older version that's shaped like a Jazzmaster and it's quite nice in some applications, but I enjoy it most because I can wander through the house noodling around without pissing everyone else off. Gives you that extra little bit of volume that you can't get out of an unplugged solid body electric.

That word was "archtops" by the way but my phone auto corrected and I couldn't resist.
But no I don't really mind these things....I have a danelectro convertible which is very similar in unplugged sound, and I enjoy having it around for the same reason.

I kind of have a feeling that an acoustic could be a lot louder than an electric plugged into a practice amp turned down really low.

It seems like they release these things every 3 to 5 years hoping we forget that nobody cared in the first place.

I almost bought one a few times. I love the way they play but they sound like shit without an amp. Very weak and thin. That surf green one is awesome.
