I got this guitar in trade and I am really liking it. I tried one in Guitar Center once and thought it was "meh," but this one is great. I am a Fiesta Red lover. Tomato soup for the win. The other thing about this one I like is it is less obviously tied Kurt compared to the Sonic one. The competition one is all sorts of wrong IMHO so this is great. The neck is very comfortable. Action is a little high on the E's but is to be expected with a TOM style bridge on a Fender neck. Not too big of a deal. I love the switches being lower and the JB sounds great. I don't know what I was doing wrong with them before, but they always sounded muddy to me. This one is very jangly. The neck pickup is up to try to balance but of course there is volume drop when going off of the humbucker alone. It looks and sounds great. Very happy! Would have been nice for the humbucker to be pickguard mounted so you could adjust it easier, but it sounds fine so no big deal.

My triangle of Fiesta Red Fenders.

Neat how all three are slightly different reds.

Small touch of the Kurts. :)

I really liked the Cobain Compstang. If we hadn't traded, I would have wound up buying one. I still might. The nut's a bit wider, I wouldn't mind the variety.

I freakin love mine, but like your previous experiences, I find the JB to be really muddy? Maybe it's just because I've been mainly playing a jag and the j mascis jazzmaster, but the JB sounds muffled in comparison.

Leonard Nimoy afterworld was a pretty good change up.

Might be a wiring error or solder joint. The one I tried in Guitar Center when they were released didn't sound good. This one is pretty bright and I also play a lot of Jags. :)

That Hagstrom is going on my list. Probably won't ever get one, but I wouldn't turn up the chance if I could get one. :D

Thanks for the props on my collection. Jags are dominant, but I have some other cool ones mixed in there. :D

For fun I checked ebay on those Hagstroms and man are they pricey. LOL :D

I like the pearl. It matches my Jagstang and my Comp Fiesta Mustang. :) My Fiesta Jaguar has a tort guard. :)

I really wish we could get an answer from that dude who installed a compton bridge on his Kurt-stang about how the intonation holds up with that bridge. I still get bridge rattle on mine with the TOM, although everything else about the guitar is ace.

The Cobain Mustangs are discontinued now so good timing, or bad timing... if they are soon to be discounted.

The fiesta was always my favourite !!

I wonder if they are going to reissue the Jag-Stang. Would love one with some of these features. (TOM, Contours, Lowered Switches)

I have the same problem. ALL Humbuckers sound muddy to me now that I primarily play Jags and Jazzys. It's not a bad problem to suffer though.

Nice! I like that Billy's guitar is the same as the one he uses at live shows. He said in some interview I watched on youtube that his guitar he uses is just like the ones in the store that anyone can pick up and play.

(Vs the signature guitars that are based off of a musician guitar, but scaled down for cheaper price.)
