I never got on with the 339 (I don't understand why people wouldn't want a big hollow body), but this should be a good seller

Because, IMO they look and feel ridiculous on anyone of average height or shorter...I owned a Sheraton and loved it, but it was always awkward to play, especially standing up. It's all that extra space (and weight) behind the bridge that I couldn't get along with. Anyway, on topic, this is definitely something I would buy, though I hope the quality is better than the Epi 339.

This; at 5'7" and a lean weight I'm just too small for the Gibson ES size, strapped on/standing up they make me look 12 and sitting down they're actually a slight chore to contend with. Even though they play and sound nice I couldn't deal long-term. The 339s always appealed to me for that and that alone.

The MIK and MIC Casinos I've played have had the comfiest Epi necks I ever, so I hope they've somehow captured that. I think they're narrower at the nut or in overall string-spacing or something. I'd seriously consider one of these provided they haven't half-assed the "scaling-down" conversion and put any ol' neck on there. The fact that it's fully hollow is a good sign they went the extra mile, but who knows.

This guitar is for children and looks like a silly child's version of a real guitar.

It was a picture of this guitar alongside with full-size Casino on Epiphone web site a year ago or so. I don't think it is full hollow body, I suspect that it is the same guitar as Es339, the only difference is routing for pickups. If it's true then it has D-profile neck that I don't like, rounded profile is my all time favorite. Don't know how stock Epiphone P90's sound, I think they are not great, replacing them could be a pain in the ass - Casino style P90 's made for an arched top of Es-style guitar, whereas all regular dogear P90 's( including all boutique pickups) made for flat top guitars. Interesting, how much they gonna ask for it?

I am pretty sure this is going to be fully hollow, otherwise they would just make a 339 with P90s (Epiphone already released their version of the Gibson model).

What this really seems to be is the Epiphone equivalent of the Gibson 390 (which is a shrunken Gibson ES-330/Epiphone Casino).

I am 6'0", but I like the 339. Mostly because it sounds like a hybrid somewhere between a Les Paul and a 335, although I think the smaller size looks better and is lighter as well. I think this new Epiphone would be a nice guitar to play, Casinos are great.

Er... and what do we have in the picture in first thread? Just ES339 with P90s. I believe it is semi-hollow, not fully hollow. You know profitability of production and all this stuff.

Hey, it's a Casinito!

I bought a Coupe (love the "Casinito" reference ) last week. I know some don't care for the shrunken size, but it's really not any smaller than my Squier Mascis. Sounds good and is comfortable to play. I only wish they offered it in more colors (like Pelham, burgundy mist, inverness green), so I chose the color I disliked the least.

Very exciting and good score. Not keen on the neck of my 339 dot but this looks good on paper right down to the parallelogram inlays, which should be on way more guitars, split or solid

I find the size to be great personally but I'm small

Was gonna get one of these but opted for a Mustang instead. The Natural one looks awesome.

The Red one reminds me too much of Jake Bugg.

Not really a fan. I am a short dude but I like the full size of my Casino. Love the stock pickups too.

I tried a Casino last year and I remember the neck feeling somewhat chunky compared to the MIK Casino I used to have. I don't know if the necks on the Casino and Coupe are the same or not, but this neck feels very comfortable and not as chunky. This might be due to having carpal surgery a few months back, so playing guitar isn't painful like it used to be.

Are these only new? I ask because there's one in a pawn shop in Exeter.

I actually really like these sized down semis; didn't even know they existed until Progrob showed-off the 339 he has/had. I'm a fair-sized guy and find normal 335s very unwieldly.
