I am kind of in the market for a new head. Somewhere around 50 watts, tube. I had a Traynor YBA-1 years ago and loved it, I also have had a few Bassman heads and always liked them. I am not very familiar with the Musicman stuff, but it looks pretty muck like a clone of the Fender stuff. This guy has me really thinking....

Any pro/cons with these? I've never seen one in person. Price seems pretty fair.

Solid-state pre-amp I think, and it looks really heavy.

I had a musicman 112 RD combo at one point, they are great amps, really clean, one of the loudest amps I have owned, and super bright. VERY heavy though.

This amp sounds fuck-all like any Fender Bassman. The auction title is intentionally misleading. However these are excellent amps, very clean Fendery sound (like a Twin, not like a Bassman). I too had a 112 100RP and it was very loud and very clean. They're hybrid designs, so there are a couple of tubes. Apparently the preamp is solid state and the power section is tube, which seems the wrong way round but what do I know.

Interesting, I had a Peavy VT that was a lot like that. SS preamp, and tube power. Heavy as shit.
