Broken LED on Pedal

Bought a Dwarfcraft Shiva on the weekend and the LED on the Starve pedal doesn't work. On opening it up, I can see one of the legs has snapped. What's the best way to fix it? Please bare in mind it's pretty tight in there and I suck at soldering. Thanks

Sorry, I tried to take a pic but the camera on my phone is useless. I will try again tonight.

One of the legs has snapped but there is plenty of leg left on both sides so I was hoping I could just fix them together in some way (solder?) rather than having to replace the LED which is directly soldered into the footswitch.

If there's plenty of leg left it shouldn't be too hard to solder but you don't want to melt/blow the LED. A delicate touch and a low-power soldering iron recommended.

Hmm, I definitely lack the first of those but I think I'm OK on the second. I'll have a bash tonight...

So I whipped out the old soldering iron last night and, apart from the little moment of terror when the solder turns into a big liquid blob and starts smoking, I think it went OK. Didn't have time to try the pedal and make sure it still works but I plugged it in and the LED now lights up - 50% of the battle won...

Seems OK - I thought I detected that solder-type smell when I used it for an extended period but it still works so I'm maybe just being paranoid.

The pedal is ace BTW, everyone should get one.
