Oh it does have the neck pocket notch. I would have grabbed a picture, but I didn't know to look for it at first.

The grain of that wood is lovely. Blonde finish was the way to go.

I am having a terrible time figuring out what necks would work with a vintage body. As far as I have read Allparts necks wouldn't be a good fit because they are Japanese sized so sanding the pocket (which I don't want to do) would be needed to get it to fit. I haven't found any info on if Mighty Mike ones are US sized or conclusive evidence about the Mexican made Fender necks being US sized or not. So frustrating. There is the Warmoth option, but it isn't cheap. I could order from Fender or something or buy an American neck off of Ebay. Not sure what to do yet. I don't want to put a garbage neck on this nice looking body. LOL

Ordered a vintage style Warmoth neck. I had the frets done modern Fender style, 7.5 radius, Kluson hole size, standard thin contour, and satin tinted finish. I will have to work on making a decal for it. I might just use one of my Fender ones and cut off all the other details so it just says "Fender" like a nocaster.

Oh and I read since the pickup has a metal plate on the bottom that is attached to the ground that it also grounds the bridge by screw contact. Is this correct?

How are you going to wire it?

Like an Esquire. Bridge direction bypasses pots, middle is normal controls, and neck is treble cut.
