WHEN WILL IT STOP, SHORTSCALE?
HAVE I ALREADY GONE TOO FAR?
Had the Mastery since last year, and I came clean on that pretty quickly. And I think it's brilliant. And now I've gone one step further towards my own legal practice incorporating a small dentist's surgery. I've bought a Strymon El Capistan.
It. Is. Fucking. Brilliant.

looks like a beast. great acquisition.
even though those bridges may be regarded as "snobby" I love the look of them on jazzmasters
edit: they're doing a giveaway on reverb for a strymon big sky reverb. looks worth checking out.

Snobby? It looks more like it was fashioned out of necessity while trapped in Water World.

I don't understand. But I'm willing to offer you a job in my legal practice.
Also, those sheets are vintage correct Egyptian cotton.

Nice score. I've heard good things about the Strymon from people who've tried one, and the same goes for the Mastery bridge. From a technical/playing perspective they're perfectly good pieces of kit...purely because they do the job.

When your GAS exceeds your disposable income, probably.

Not quite..
I hadn't heard of the El Capistan until you mentioned but it's a fantastic sounding pedal. I don't think you're quite into surf lawyer territory yet.
Shabba.

Amber switch tips always remind me of an earwax-y cottonbud. No thank you.

Always liked the look of the strymon stuff, keep eyeing up their compressor/boost.

Mastery - Meh.
El Capistan - Looks and sounds amazing. I just can't be arsed with it because you can tweak it soooooooo much. If you can be arsed, probably the best sounding delay ever. I prefer about 3 dials, plug and play. Personal preference though....

Tried to read the product page for it but kept reading dTape as d'tape , as though it were one o them fancy European delays.

See, I thought you
had one; swear there's
someone here who took the Strymon plunge before me...

See also: DeArmond, D'Addario (strings even one as urbane as I has only ever ordered by pointing).

Wouldn't feel bad about either.
I reckon the only reverb that'll scratch my itch would be a big sky (maybe a blue sky), so I don't think anyone should feel bad about getting strymon stuff.
Most importantly, DEMO!

That pedal is CRAZY tweakable; I sat through a few videos and the depth of editing is the sort of thing normal reserved for VST plugins.
Approved.
