So I bought a Warmoth baritone neck from Aen around 7 years ago, fixed some badly drilled tuner holes using a drumstick as dowel and until last summer did nothing with it. Last summer I re-drilled the tuner holes, gave it a custom decal (made using a laser printer and clear tape) and clear coated it.

I decided it would best suit my CV Tele Thinline, so here are before and after pics.





I've had a bit of a play and its pretty good - I need to fine tune the nut a little, but otherwise I'm pretty happy with it.

Yeah, they are the stock pickups - it was a bone stock version of the one you are getting till I did the neck swap.

How does it sond?

He'll freely admit they were a mess. He didn't own a drill press at the time and it's difficult to do without.

I haven't had a chance to try it through an amp yet, but acoustically it has a lot more bottom end than I was expecting - I have it tuned B to B at the moment.

Yeah, there was quite while there where my ambition outstripped my skills and tools by a country mile.

I had to have something to fix as an excuse for it taking me seven years to do something with it.

You never know, I might finish the Duosonic you sold me soon.

I'm gona start buying warmoth necks and putting squier decals on

I didn't even put a Squier decal on this, it's got my own decal. I'm never sure about putting fender decals on something that isn't really a fender. I know it's commonly done with parts guitars, but still.
