Steve, the product demonstrator from Blackstar (same chap in the video) dropped by the shop the other day to show us the new ID Core.

Doesn't really illustrate greatly in the video but the Stereo effect is unreal. Never heard anything like it from a small box. Everything else sounded splendid as well.

Now I don't get too excited about these things usually, nor do I for the rest of the Blackstar line really; I see and get to try a lot of amps.

Thinking of picking one of these up for late night noodlin'. Really great price too !! Def try one if you get the chance.

He has a nice guitar which I got to try as well...

So it's their version of the Mustang series of amps.

It's pretty much an identikit feature set, but the stereo is a cool feature.

I might be tempted however as my Mustang I's headphone jack is crapping out and I only use it for headphone driven practise.

these look considerably more spendy than the mustang range too. will listen to the demo when i get home. i think digital modelling is great and would be keen to see how other brands are doing it. seems like they're going for a smaller range of things done really well, compared to the mustang's smorgasbord of amps and pedals

£89 for the 10 watt is directly in line with Mustang pricing?

Somehow wasn't really impressed with the general ID range that much, nor was I too much for the mustang amps, although still a very decent product.

The ID Core is the newly released stuff, yet to reach the shops

The stereo feature blew my mind... sounds big !!!!
