Nice play on the old Fender thing, with a slight twist.

Not normally into relic'n, but these guys seem to do pretty well at it.

That telemaster is my fav.

They all look kinda nice but kinda cheap furniturey looking.

I understand the whole "Boutique" aspect and the "This guitar was beaten up by us with hammers" mentality, but $3,000 seems a bit much.

The one with the oriental writing on it is a 'Rev Billy' guitar is it not?

It's all a bit but some them do look very good. I love the LPB strat with aged gold guard on the front page.

I think things like this are better when they take what was good about the original styling and make fantastic guitars with modern components. There seems to be a lot more money in making sure your bridge saddles bend in the traditional way, though.

Oh yeah, it's right on the lower edge. Looks fishy.

Aside from that I quite like them, oh but there's too much space behind the bridge. So maybe I don't.

personally i think telecasters are a borderline clumsy design, so i just cannot jive with a big curvy body with that plate dropped on it like a big metal skidmark.

agreed. my missus reckons the tele control plate looks like it came off a condom machine. i think she may be right.

Blow folks' eardrums out with a cranked Deluxe or Twin Reverb and I can imagine this making sense and being a lot of fun to play, though I have a feeling that low-output HiLo'Trons so close to the bridge would not be most people's cup o' soup tea.

I hate how many of these (not all, Fender Custom Shop also has a non-relic version) have those scratch marks from sliding off the ashtray. Looks so noobish.

As for Rebel Relics, they are kind of cool, even if some of them go overboard on the relics. Probably nicer than many of the similar Fender Custom Shop with the same prices, not that I would personally buy one.
