Look to be early, made in Japan Ibanez strat clones - anyone got any experience/opinions on build quality, playability, general awesomeness or lack thereof?
A couple of lefties on eBay over the next week I'm toying with...
Thanks

They're nothing amazing; pay no more than £120. And I'd expect a pack of strings and a patronising guitar shop man chat for that too.

Playability-wise? I'm going to rip out all the electrics if I go for it.

I have no experience of Japanese antoria guitars, but I had a 90s Korean antoria rockstar (335 copy) and it was a great guitar...

I've had 2 Antorias, both 70s (I think) Les Paul and a large bodied Jazz style 2 humbucker job, both were fantastic. The later stuff was way poorer quality. Eventually the Les Paul lost its head (just like a REAL Les Paul!!). The jazz one is one of the few guitars I really regret getting rid of.

OK, I'm hearing "a bit of a lottery, the older (early 70s) the better, don't pay a lot of money"
Thanks, that's helpful.
This is ending today so I might have a semi-serious dip.
