I got a $50 Amazon gift card for my birthday so I decided to try the EHX Soul Food. So far pretty impressed. I have never used a Klon before. My only clean booster/overdrive experience has been my MBM Saltbreaker/Saltbooster.
I am still getting used to it but it sounds great with all the guitars I have run through it. It really captures that overdriven amp sound.

I like that you can turn the buffer on and off on the inside.

MBM Civil War Big Muff. It's awesome. Such a creamy smooth midrange.

I've been slightly intrigued by this pedal... then I saw the pricepoint and it REALLY captured my attention. I have a couple OD/Distortion pedals... nothing particularly special, but they're all medium gain, none of them quite getting the light gain I'm mostly looking for. I play through a Twin Reverb, so no real gain on tap there... I plan to get an AC30 when I can afford it, but that's likely years off.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts as you use it more.

Sounds like a good pedal at a good price. I can vouch for the timhulio klon, though. Sounds amazing and the buffer is top notch. Much higher quality than any ehx pedal i've ever had, and I've had my fair share.

I really like this pedal, I use just like I would my Tubescreamer or SD-1 and it works great alone and it gets on greatly when combined with other pedals.

I am really liking this pedal. It just hits the amp so well. Makes every guitar sound super cool.
I am was running a clean boost for rhythm and a more overdriven setting for rocking. I had to dial back the treble control on the Jaguar and Coronado II.
It does not like to run after a big Muff. It completely strangles the sound. So I moved it before my Russian Muffs with isolated 9V power and it sound great.

I noticed that EHX has the LED and switch on the Small Stone. Not sure which one came first. Great pedal.

How are you liking it now you have had it a bit longer?
I'm very interested in getting one, especially at that price point.

Totally recommend. It drives the amp so naturally and I love it as a clean boost and overdrive.
I found it for $65 on Amazon. They were out of stock for a while.
