Amazing deal on a vm jazzmaster.

Lol. I saw this posting on eBay and I couldn't resist messaging him about it. It's a used vm jazzmaster that he put a mustang bridge on. He claims there are locking tuners on it too but they look completely stock to me. And he's including a gig bag. He wants $655.00 plus $100 shipping. He said it's a fair price since it's "new" with mods and includes a gig bag. "You'll be surprised, someone will buy it" http://bit.ly/1i5LWfy

lololol wow what a scam. the things people do to get paid. I mean, that thing really does play like its worth that much, I have one in the same color and love it to bits. but you could still tell/feel it's not that same fendurr quality. like an upgraded bridge isn't even that much, and the tuners work fine.

think they need less hot pickups though.

there is nothing you can do to totally modd a squier where it should be worth that much. there's a reason it says squier.

I've seen them with great mods sell for under $300 on the forums. I've learned that too. No matter how much you mod your guitar it doesn't mean it's worth more.

I offered him $1 everyone should offer him a dollar. Maybe it would get the point across and if he ends up accepting the offer you got a killer deal on a vm jazz haha

lol I'd offer him what it's worth if I wanted it. or report it so someone doesn't get scammed. unless it's a 9.5 mustang bridge then it's still not a 300$ improvement.

One dollar offered for a sweet custom jag.

They declined my offer and adjusted the price to $666.00.

I sent a message concerning his price, the bridge vs fretboard radius and asked for information about the custom tuners.

If he won't provide what kind of "custom" tuners he put in there, and they aren't from a 1964 Jaguar that Jim Morrison peed on, I'll report him.

My message to him:

This guitar is $299.99 at Guitar Center (possibly less elsewhere).
A Mustang bridge (the radius of which will be mismatched with the fretboard) costs less than $40.
The gig bag costs $20–30.
You have not changed the tuners.

Clearly, $666 is a ridiculous price – how do you justify it?
Also, why have you included the specs for a Fender Classic Player in your listing?

I told him all of that earlier and that anyone on the shortscale or offset forum would agree and he said he was on both of them lol.

Your offer: 1.02

Terms: I pay actual calculated shipping. $100 is a lot to ship a guitar I can buy brand new for $300 shipped just about anywhere, let alone one I'm offering you $1.02 for

Yeah, I think this is worth reporting to be honest.
