WTF?
Everyone knows I hate Octave Fuzzes - it's my least favourite effect.

It's not like it's always octaving. The harmonics above the 12th fret just overpower the normal note.

They're good for single note stuff, leads or mondo filthy powerchord riffs, even with the fuzz control at below like 9 o'clock. Not the most flexible fuzz pedal out there but it's sick as fuck.

"Blender-clone-into-small-solidstate-amp" samples yes.
"Blender-clone-into-big-heavy-why-the-fuck-do-I-always-leave-so-much-stuff-in-front-of-this-thing-I-just-have-to-move-it-all-every-time-I-want-to-get-at-it-2x12-and-head-tube-setup" samples no.

Download this and listen to the wanky lame solos at the outro. That's Strat & Jazzmaster into Blender, with a little dirt from the Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal into a tube amp.

I hate it when people link to songs instead of a specific sample

I hate it when people hate on cool pedals because they think they've overated.
It's got 2 minutes of me playing crappy noisy pentatonic stuff with the pedal, it's not very subtle.
