So I picked up a Buzz Electronics 8-way programmable switcher a few years ago, but a few things made it tricky to get on with; cramped footswitches, squat shape and no 'you're on this preset, dumdum' indication. Great for standalone playing, but a pain in the arse while singing and playing math rock simultaneously
Enter the MOEN GEC-9, used on Ebay for about 80-100 quid less than new.
Although it offers less instant preset footswitches (5 per bank, meaning you gotta switch banks to access them) vs the Buzz's 8-all-day-long, this is waaaaaaay more sane. Great user interaction, and some nifty functionality on loops 6-9, allowing it to switch amp channels, outputs, switching stuff in and out of your amps FX loop, as well as putting a few pedals between loops to allow manual control (wahs/volume pedals etc).
Cat getting all up in my shit as per usual
S'GONNA CHANGE MY WORLD, GUYS. Can't wait to upgrade to a bigger amp and non-cardboard pedalboard too. This isn't my full pedalboard, so my need for this thing maybe isn't too apparent from this pic. BUT I NEEDS IIT

Will try and knock up a brief demo of my own sometime, it's great y'all.

That's pretty smart, and very simple... We shall need a Doog full pedal board demo of it in action

I don't know about the pedal, maybe too complicated for me, if it only had 3 or 4 loops it would be more useful.
The cat is awesome though. Makes a great wallpaper too, I just put it on my desktop.

It's super easy to use, for reals; the extra loops and functionality only become an issue if you wanna use them- you could happily just use 3-4 loops and ignore everything else.

Yeeeeah! I'm using it as a splitter-and-slight-delayer to a second amp rather than traditional usage, but it's still VITAL
Pato thanks you for your kind words.

I'm sure it's easy, but I don't need it. It's easy to make two loops with a dual-output tuner and a passive aby switcher at the other end, and takes up much less space.
Actually they do make one with 4 loops, the 438: moen
It would do what I want, but I don't really need it. It's pretty cool though. I do like my new wallpaper a lot though.

You've just pointed me in the direction of something I've been needing for quite some time. Looks really easy to use too. Nice one.

Check it out mate, it's super handy. Even has buffered, and non buffered output and a footswitable mute that routes your signal to a tuner/other thing.

True- if you wanted just that limited functionality, you could do it with just a Boss LS-2 and nowt else. These Moens are a totally different beast; not for everyone, but worth its weight in gold for me.
Thanks, that's a bit better resolution, the first one was usable too, but the pedals look a little clearer on this, not as much difference with the cat.
Cat's name is Pato?

That looks great - investigating now.
Doogcat looks like a long haired version of my cat - and got an 'aah, cute' from Cheryl.

Yeeeeeeah, Spanish for 'duck', or a way to describe a clumsy person.. my gf is Spanish. It's also, apparently according to Google, a homophobic slur in Latin America. Oh my. She won't be pleased.

I've got that one too, although I needed to grab this 'un for its dry output; the one you sold me doesn't have such a thing. In this setup, the dry out feeds back into the switcher, and the 100% wet delayed signal is sent straight to my 2nd amp.
