I have had GAS for a mocha brown mustang with a maple neck for a looooong time. Someone has one on Reverb and might trade it for my 1965 mustang. Think it's worth it? Is it a good trade? Should I keep the '65 and wait for something with an A neck?

Hell No! I would never trade a 1965 made by Fender and the original artisans for 1976 CBS era corporate crap. Buy it? Sure if you are really impressed with it, but trade a 65 for a 76? No bad bad move.

I wouldn't to be honest. You'd be better off selling your 65 and then buying a 70's Mustang if that's what you wanna do.

Well the value is around the same with the new tuners on it. I've always liked the mocha with maple on a mustang. Haha

Are you going to regret it later on? That's what I ask myself. If the answer is no, go for it.

No, you can always put old tuners back on your '65. The '65 is worth way more and you'd be daft to do this deal.

Sell some half-baked shit that you're going to get rid of within the year anyway, but to buy the '76. Problem solved.

There's a message hiding in there about sourcing some '60s Mustang tuners, not a chunky ol' mapplestang.

And you can keep saying "Mocha" all you want, as if anyone in the '70s was on that page... it's the colour of POO, plain and simple.

I love the xii coronados but has anyone ever played one? Do they play nice? The neck looks fantastic.

Had a 70s Poostang. Hated it. Also, it was so heavy, the moon orbited it.

the coro xii I played was the nicest 12 string I ever played. I was trying to trade/sell my vox for it but it didn't happen.

Yep. Don't get me wrong, it's not like he didn't warn me. But it's a guitar I never, ever bonded with.

I've got a 78 Walnut Mustang, and it's tremendous.

Sounds like typical 70's Fender quality control, or just a matter of preference, as most modern reissues are built to 60's specs naturally a 70's guitar will feel off to most players.

Try before you buy I'd say.

I wont say wether to trade or not, but that Mustang is my actual dream guitar.
Market value of any '60s vs '70s guitar wont quite add up.
Go with your gut instinct, no regrets and all that shit
