I picked up a Farfisa Pianorgan at the weekend and it doesnt have a plug on the power lead, just a lead with two black wires. Can anyone give any kind of clue how the hell I am going to wire a plug for it without killing myself or blowing it up?
I have been making cheesy organ based puns since getting it - I don't think Cheryl is impressed.
No, it's mainly wood, with a plastic front panel, and plastic keys. I just can't work out which wire is live and which is neutral with them both being black.
No, the model I have is only accessable from the top, so everything else would have to come out first.
A bit of googling tells me the only electrics in there are a fan and a motor - does that have any bearing on whether I need to worry about which way round the wires go?
Usually if the cables aren't colour coded they can go any way, it'd just be like a light bulb (live and neutral can flow in any direction). However, I wouldn't want to take responsibility for frying your motor if that wasn't the case in this instance, so don't necessarily pay attention to me.
