NGD: Relic'd Fender Tele Deluxe 60th Anniversary model

I just picked this up today off Craigslist.
Not a huge fan of relic'd guitars, but this one is okay and I won't be refinishing it for now.
I love the Walnut finish. It was missing the pickup selector tip but I happened to have an extra white one.
Plays well and the action is great. I am pretty stoked about it. Love the 70's headstock and strat neck.
Neck pickup is kinda spanky, throaty sound and the bridge pickup cuts through pretty nice.
According to the sticker, this guitar is part of Fender's 60th Anniversary set, though the neck plate is not custom. I couldn't find any Tele Deluxes in the 60th Anniversary set, so I am not sure if it's legit or not.
The neck is nice and full C, which feels good despite the 12" radius. My Baja Telecaster has a brother now!

The neck on this guitar has some really interesting dark streaks on it. Adds a little mojo to the looks.
The only issue I have with the guitar is the low E strings sounds really hollow and muffled. I have not changed the strings yet so I hope that helps.
I might need to adjust something.

Beautiful guitar. Do these modern wideranges sound like humbuckers?

I think they have their own thing going on. They don't sound like generic Humbuckers. Definitely fatter and more output than my Jazzmaster.

They have a lot of output IMO.

They almost distort all by themselves. I am not a humbucker guy, but have always liked the tone of the WRHBs.
Does bumping up the pots from 250K to 500k or 1 Meg increase or decrease the output?

I'm using 500k with mine.

I played my Tele Deluxe through the #2 channel on my VibroChamp and that definitely helped calm the output down a bit. The guitar is a lot of fun to play and is definetly that heavy hitter my lineup has been missing.

I may have changed my opinion somewhat on modern fretboard radius. I have always been 7.25" or nothing on my Fender necks, but this 12" radius plays so nice. I am not a shredder, but I can move noticeabley faster up and down the neck. I still like 7.25", but I would definitely consider another one of these necks in the future.

don't care for the "reliciing" but that's a lovely caramel brown, looks great with the PG

Thanks. I would have preferred no relic'ng too, but at least it's comfortable to play. I prefer natural wear.
That's my only real negative on this guitar. I like the walnut finish over the black. I did like some of the FSR sparkle finishes Fender did a while back.
