Squier VI Owners - a question...

Evening all. In my continuing baritone jones (I thought I was out, but listening to a lot of Labradford lately means I'm back in) I've turned my beady eye back on the Squier VI. I've no interest in it tuned E-E; tried that before on various baris and it just doesn't float my boat - baritone chords are just too pretty to pass up, but fall apart tuned E-E. So I'm thinking of grabbing one, restringing with bari strings and tuning it A-A. Any of you lot done this? And, few months down the line, are you all still in love?

i haven't done it, but yes, i still like mine (strangely, although the staytrem bridge is much more solid, it does lose some of the gnarly twang the stock one had. it was fucking balls though).

I've done this with my Schecter Ultra VI (the Hellcat is still E-e), to fine result. 30" scale isn't too big to chord nicely, and the extra tension from the extra 2-3" of scale gives the chords some more snap. It's pretty delightful.

I'm pretty sure that the d'Addario baritone strings (which I use) are long enough to accommodate the Squier VI's bridge... I'm pretty sure I've read of people using them on their Fender VIs in the past.
