Egnater : Anyone Using ?

Post by Rox »

I was curious on what the skinny was on these .. I got to play a Rebel and a Tweaker ( 15 watt? ) and it seemed pretty damn good . Very Vox but a not as cheap sounding as the new stuff. I wanted just one more amp for my arsenal/ toybox and was considering one . If not maybe a Marshall 1974x clone .
Any experience ?

I am a lover but I don't actually own one. I've tested a Tweaker 15 a few times and love it but have never really been able to justify the purchase. Would be interested in your thoughts if you bite the bullet...

They're made in China. Probably not for you then.

Amp wise ? 63 Fender Bassman , Club Classic ( pretty much a boutique 59 Bassman) , Dr Z Perscription ES , a Fender Hotrod DeVille 212 , an Orange Crush 35 ( yep, it's Chinese . it's my shitty little solid state to tag along . Actually quite good ) .
Guitar wise ? hm.. You mean the ones I actually still play ? Corgan Strat, Modded Jag Special, a KC Mustang, a Toronado , a Rutters Telemaster Jr, a Schecter Ultra prototype, Ultracure an Port Thompson Corsair ......... Oh and my Schecter RS1000. Korean... In the closet is my ... Oh let's not go there ... I think there's a Squier somewhere in there if I didn't give it to my neighbor's kid .. That was Indonesian...

That's actually what I was looking at.. If I get it I'll do a review.. I was figuring the Tweaker or a NightTrain .

I don't think I tried a Night Train but I did compare extensively with a HT-5 and it was way better in my opinion if that's any help.

The Blackstar HT-5 ? That's a nice amp . A dirty lil girl . Blackstars are mean. I tried a Blackstar a few years back . I forget the model. Perfect for Slayer .

Really? I thought it was a bit thin and weedy though my flatmate has since bought one and it actually sounds OK.

I'm still about the Tweaker though because when it comes to switches and dials more is better.
