Sounds like he might be a Marshall guy . You can get a Fender to crunch .. Especially a Bassman . They just do it loud . He's prolly never played one above 3 .

like it seems like bad form to look for guitars/amps that sound muddy all the time. you can overdrive a clean sound but you cant clean a dirty sound idk

He's a Vox guy.
He has both a Handwired white tolex AC15 and a CC AC30.

Sounds like silly brand loyalty bias to me. Fuck that noise. Any amp can be given gain in a gazillion ways and allows for a more tune-able individual gain sound.

I used to Vox...
Then I found out I had scoliosis and carrying an AC30 around probably wasn't helping too much...

So is this more a discussion of saying Fender amps have no break up point on the clean channel or they have no distortion?
I wouldn't want to be near most of the Fender amplifier range with volume set to 10. It would be like a brown noise deluxe and your brain would eject its self from your ears
