mustang bass pickguards
I've a mustang pawn shop bass. I'm not that pumped about the tone of the mudbucker. I've coiltapped it already and added a three way mini toggle and it just switches from quicksand, to regular mud, to thin and dickless sounding. Im wondering if I can buy a regular mustang bass pickguard and put it on with some split coil mustang bass pups or maybe modify the guard and get some P Bass pickups without routing the body out. The route is already pretty big for thr humbucker so I should have plenty of room to work with. Ideally it'd be nice to find someone local to compare pickguards before I sink a bunch of money into this.
