I know the arrangement of knobs is straightforward and logical, but having them in a straight line like that looks 'off' to me.
I quite like the 'natural' stained finish of the second one though. The grain of the wood is pretty cool. But still...those knobs.

I dig it. I can see how the knob configuration can throw of a Les Paul player.
