Aye, had mine out today, even through a shite Marshall MG15 it sounds good. Sometimes wonder why I bother with anything else.

yep Fran for a while I thought I needed those stratty comfort contours & sometimes I think I need humbuckers ...
but tele with a 4 way switch & in-series option really just does everything I want with no hassle

I don't really hate telecasters, I just thought this thread needed some balance.

I've never found a Tele that I got along with. They either sound wimpy/shrill, the neck feels wrong, the body contours aren't comfortable...I enjoy listening to other people play them and making them sound good, but I've never found one that I wanted.
Maybe a Tele deluxe with some humbuckers or soapbars and tummy contours would work...but then, as nice an instrument as it would be, would it even be a Tele any more?

I've got enough spare parts to throw together a complete telecaster JUST FOR THIS THREAD.
So I will.

The most comfortable Tele I've played is the Squier Affinity, because of its thinner body. Normal Teles are just too clunky for my liking.

This thread is making me want to fix up my old Affinity Tele. Or at least get somebody else to help me fix it up because I am diabolically bad at DIY.

I made the best Tele in the world, so this thread just makes me feel guilty. It's like watching a cat lap up a puddle of anti-freeze.
