ferret friendly amplifier.

thinking about a new practice amp to go in my bedroom. my living space is an attic, and has 2 rooms. one room i keep all my equipment in (has PA, drums, bass amp, guitar amp).

but i can never take my guitar amp in my bedroom because of my ferrets, any of you that got ferrets or whatever know these things fuck with everything, especially if they can climb in it, never wanted to take any of my amps in my room because i'm afraid the lil fuckers will get shocked, and if they hear me playing it they'll definitely climb inside it, and heat from the tubes blah blah blah.

the amp in the case is nice cause the amp stuff is all the way at the top, so they can't reaally reach the dangerous stuff, but they're ferrets so, they probably can.

so i need a little practice amp for my room that'll be safe for the little bastards.

couple amps i've been looking at:
orange micro terror w/ 1x8 closed back cabinet. i've heard these are really small, and still come in at about 20w so it'll still make noise, headphone out for late night practicing is definitely a bonus. looks like it is tube (right?), and very cheap so that's definitely a plus.

super champ x2 head or whatever. little more pricey but looks like a nice small head, at about 15 watts also would be nice for practice and even maybe gigs mic'd up or something.

i think ampeg had something small too. idk.

any suggestions? pretty much a small tube amp head, possibly even solid state depending on what it is. gonna prolly go with like a 1x8/1x10/1x12 closed back cabinet, something i could put on the floor or on an end table to keep it up, yet they still wouldn't be able to get into it. something i could get clean or overdrive, nothing really special. i do like reverb though.

Just go to a secondhand music shop and see what they've got.

I'd recomend a Peavey Backstage or Marshall MG15.

are those closed back? there was always that friend that had a marshall mg15. they don't sound bad but i'm not very interested. i guess i'm kinda looking for a cheap lil mini stack that i can also take to shows, that my ferrets wont die fucking with.

and i'm on dat squier budget too.

You just need a closed back amp?

Fender Mustang 1's are closed back after a quick googling. Do that.

gonna check that out too, not really into digital amps but i'd probably have fun playing with it. all kinds of fun stuff with that amp.

another thing was i used to have a boss me-70. i thiiiink it had a headphone out, might check the price on that and grab another of those just for quiet practicing.
going to end up doing a redesign of my room and wanted a little desk setup for practicing and stuff. going to be going back to school soon, so something to fuck with while i study and write papers. and anymore i've been up later and later practicing guitar since i've been jobless lately so i need something i can play late at night.

they are such dicks with that shit. mine don't really steal headphones that much, some pairs they like more than others. got an old pair of sony headphones that they leave alone cause the pleather wore off down to the cotton. but they love headphones that are leathery.

my ferrets will generally steal your fresh kicks and your socks, and my girlfriends makeup.

You keep ferrets in your bedroom? My mate used to use them to catch rabbits and those little fuckers hummed...

I have the Micro Terror, I like it, but I don't know if I can recommend it for you. It is very light, and it can get knocked off the cab. My cats have done that before, knocked the cab down too.

Right now I have it placed really high and there is nowhere for a cat to sit if they can get up there (not enough space on the cab or below it), so it's fine.
