Is this the same as the Behringer VD-1?

I don't own any of these pedals, not even the Behringer, but I was watching videos of the VD-1 and listening, then I came across these and thought they were similar, they are the "creamy dreamer" circuits/mods:

Anyone think there's any mileage left in the Creamy Dreamer myth? I was cynically toying with the idea of a run of these.

The only guy I remember having nothing but good things to say about the Creamy Dreamer was a guy on JS who used the screen name Siamese Dreamer. One could argue that disliking it was never an option for him. Incidentally, he thought it sounded a bit like the Smashing Pumpkins.
Hodges seemed obsessed with them back in the late '90s/early '00s but I'm not sure he ever actually had one, Ahab style.

Off the beaten track but I'd stay away from 'Big knob', he sold me a 'Super Hard On' (funny coincidence) with the wrong value pot and seemed disinterested to put it right. Was more of less unusable at the time. Fixed it myself. Basically lazy at sourcing the correct components and not good with aftersales. Don't buy

Idk the VD-1 is a weird muff, man. It's russian-esque but punchy as hell, but it does some really weird power-starved shit when you roll back the volume.

Actually I think it's based more on the black Russian, but not identical. I was looking through Kit Rae's site, the schematics are a bit different, but only a little bit.
