Depends what kind of bridge it has more than the wood, I'd say. If it were a Mustang or Jaguar with a traditional bridge I'd go for the chunkier SD, if it had a TOM I'd go with a JB, just to compensate for the natural sounds of the guitars with those respective bridges.
There's literally no telling what you're getting until you've got it with necks and bodies. All wood is unique. I also don't think the body wood on a solidbody Fender matters very much to the acoustic frequency/volume, at least not to the effect of warranting a different pickup.

Get a Duncan Performer Detonator.

Now, I know what you're thinking - that's a knockoff Invader. I don't play metal or pop punk. Shad is crazy.

BUT YOU'RE WRONG.

It's the exact same design (magnet/windings) as the Duncan Distortion, but with the chunky polepieces of the Invader. In other words, it is fucking awesome.
