Not sure if I posted this more widely, but Revelation guitars have released three models based on the Les Paul Recording model. A bigsby'ed up type, a hard tail and a bass.

I like 'em. Around £350 or so, from what I've seen. Pickups are Entwistles.

pretty cool, I think I've seen it mentioned in a thread about another guitar.
are those pickups low or high impedance?

I just did a quick google for the standard LP knock-off they do (the angled pickups look great on a Mustang but don't do much for me on an LP for some reason) and it retails for less than £250. You can't get an Epi for that!

And the pickups would be good because they're Entwistle.
Eh, dunno about anything else. Maybe I'm getting snobby in my old age but I don't see the point of MORE copies unless they're doing something nobody else is really doing. Which is why I'm super-intrigued about the Recording version.
The pickups were apparently specially designed for that guitar so I imagine they're close to the originals, or are at least "different" to your average Les Paul/PAF copy. I emailed Alan Entwistle today to ask if he was considering offering them as a replacement part. The reply was "watch this space". That would be fucking sweet.
