however, it's only available as a limited edition run on american standards.
it's called "vintage white" and it's unlike anything i've ever seen before...
To honor the 60th anniversary of the Stratocaster in 2014, Fender introduces two brilliant new limited edition looks for the venerable American Standard Stratocaster—Vintage White with a tortoiseshell pickguard and rosewood fingerboard, and Aztec Gold with a parchment pickguard and maple fingerboard. All the acclaimed features, sound and style of the archetypal American Standard Stratocaster, now in even more beautiful finish options.
i get that new and unusual colours don't often catch on so i think it's fine for fender to test the water with a limited run in this situation, but i think this creamy off-white colour scheme could really catch on, maybe even enough to make it a mainstay in the product line. we'll have to see about that, but in my opinion, it just sort of...
works...

That's "left in the sunlight for too long" or, what's worse,
Beige.

Maybe my computer monitor is off or something but that looks a bit dark to me. Like an off sandy brown or something. I do really dig white with tort.

They should paint it some sort of silly paint that's two different colours depending on what angle you look at it at. And then paint the fingerboard too, why not. And then stick a humbucker in it. Then it'd be cool.

We had a few customers ask for that exact shade this year (w/brown tort guard) on J-Classic V and P-Classic IVs, with rather candid references to Paul Turner's Alleva Coppolo.
I reckon some players really like it a lot, but it makes me think of desserts I'm not too fond of...and Yngwie.

this is the color that i affectionately refer to as "puke stain white" with brown tort guard when talking about mid 04-06 mustang RI's.
just not as nice as the OLY ones with red tort guard they made in the late 90's

that is a Squier though, you can tell from the Duncan Designed pickups... and lack of writing on the reverb handle construction. and bridge.

I think it's a darker finish, more like coffee with a lot of milk. Kind of like that tele there.
But it's hard to tell, any finish will look different depending on the light.
