Harmony Silhouette Project

I bought a Harmony Silhouette neck that needs some work and I would like to make a body/pickguard for it in the near future.
If someone has one and wouldn't mind tracing the body out line or maybe giving me some measurements I would really appreciate it.
Here's a link to some reference pictures.

Is that the same as a bobkat? There is one of those at the guitar shop down the road from where I work.

No, it's a little different body/pickguard from a Bobkat. I have a bobkat tracing if you ever need one. I may go that route if the silhouette doesn't pan out.
The necks are pretty much the same.

I will check what it is. I just assumed bobkat when I saw it.

Thanks. I was needing some measurements but I was lucky enough to get a template from a member on another forum.
Now I just need to get around to making a body.

I will be happy to see this project here. Old Harmonies are supercool.

That maple block blended in really well, did you add that veneer just for aesthetics?
Looking forward to the rest of the project.

Thank you for posting! Great job on the heal - the second block overlaps the first one and makes the whole construction solid.

Thanks! yeah, that's what I'm hoping anyway. It seems pretty solid. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

The veneer was because I was bored and a bit bugged about the drilled hole in the block I used as a donor.
I doweled the hole but everything else looked clean and that plugged hole just kept staring at me.
It'll never be seen once the neck is painted.

How is the project going?
By the way, is it a double acting trussrod on this vintage Harmony?

Not much to post on this one. I've been sidetracked making bodies for others.
Plus I bought up some Dano necks off the GFS website so I've been dicking around with those.
It's a single action truss rod on the Harmony. I bent it slightly when I was removing it but I've straightened it back out.
I was going to replace it with a StewMac Hot Rod truss rod but they don't come in the length I need for this neck.

Just checked GFS, they do still sell Dano necks. Some hollow covered with masonite body is in your plans?

Yep. A U1 with a dolphin headstock and a Longhorn 6 string bass.
I also have a 12 string dc build and a 6 string dano dc build started but I'll probably sell them off when I get 'em far enough along.
