Costs an extra £50 for them not to stain it? Bizarre! Bloke I know bought his son one for his birthday and asked me to give it a look over (set up) so it's ready to play when his son gets it on Sunday. Nice guitar, always liked the look of these things.

These are great guitars. Having no finish helps with sound plus part of its charm. I remember these growing up. It was one of my dream guitars in my early teens. Love these things. Hard to find.

Washburn often get overlooked, they make some top class guitars but they've never been aesthetically iconic.
The old Falcon models were up there with the Ibanez Artists and Yamaha SG2000's. And all three of them would give any Gibson a run for its money.

Apparently.
Though that kind of thing is always very, very difficult to judge when it comes down to the fact that an electric guitar is basically a few planks of wood with electronics mounted onto it. So "possibly helps with the sound".
