Thanks! Yeah one of the lions came unglued from the picture frame.
This guitar was even cheaper than the First Act Guitar I bought at Target back in 2009 for $74.88

Dang, I have no words. That's just cool. And lions were killed by the mojo of the guitar instantly.
I've been looking through First Acts on ebay, they are ridiculously cheap, but delivery cost brings them to the level of a new Squier for me.

Keep following that logic and you'll soon own all the guitars.

Did it come with the little amp? Those things are fun.

Thanks for the posts.Yes this guitar came with a tiny amp,a cheap strap and cord,3 picks and an extra E&B string.
I like this guitar better than the First Act 222 because that guitar doesn't have a tone control.
It's controls were kinda like a Squier 51 but without the coil splitter
The MA 104 amp that came the White First Act 222 guitar could only be powered with the AC adapter it came with.
The MA 2039 amp that came with my new guitar can be powered by with two 9 volt batteries for street busking.
It came with the batteries but no AC adapter.

No offense, but you've owned some of the greatest guitars known to man and now you just a Starcaster and a First Act? Does this bother you at all?
Just curious.

But when I saw this guitar I just thought "38.98? That's how much my first electric guitar cost in 1965"

Silvertone Bobkat? When you started this thread I thought that "First Act is new Silvertone/Danelectro. Maybe some new lo-fi musician will appear soon playing them"
How is the general playability and how does this humbucker sound?

Thanks, that red guitar is a Truetone made by Kay for Western Auto and is based on their Vanguard model guitar. The one in the picture I bought in 2004. The one I got in 1965 was the same model but it had a vibrato bar. That one came from Woolworths and cost $39.99 in 1965.
My first act guitar plays good. I just had to adjust the trussrod and she was good to go. Well worth $38.98.
The First act humbucker is hot but it sounds good. They put the same pickups in their custom shop guitars.
